DEVIN HIGHTOWER
COLOR GUARD DIRECTOR

Picture
Devin Hightower joined the Mustang Band staff as the Color Guard Director in 2024. He moved to Houston from the Tampa Bay Area in Florida.  Before moving to Houston, Mr. Hightower was the Color Guard Director at Newsome High School in Lithia, Florida.  He also taught, choreographed, and designed shows for various programs in Tampa Bay and central Florida.  In addition to teaching color guard, he was a dance instructor at the Arthur Murray Dance studio.  Mr. Hightower has been involved in the marching arts for over ten years.  He fell in love with the activity at his high school in northern Florida and eventually moved to central Florida where he continued his color guard career with Tampa Independent and Dance Den of Tampa.  He really enjoys sharing his knowledge of the arts with students and watching them grow into amazing performers.  Mr. Hightower believes the most rewarding thing is life is getting to watch his students perform their hearts out on the field or floor and know that he played a part in their new passion.  He is excited to work with the MHS Color Guard and make great memories with this program!
